I think for people that missed the deadline and don't want to pay as much (at least you're not on console, its 60 - its only 39.99 on pc) you will have to wait for a sale and maybe you may get your wish this winter, if it goes on sale for the winter sale.There will also be next-gen graphic and load-time updates for Xbox Series X/S and PS5, but this will be available as a free update to buyers of the Special Edition, as will four of the best bits of Creation Club content: I think something like that would have been best for both worlds, so people that at least still had the base game and not all the dlc would still get something for buying the base game and some DLC in the beginning - but I think it would be kind of hard to determine what people get off depending on the dlc, maybe what they could have done was give 10-20 dollar off coupon if you owned the base game - since the base game on steam is worth 10-20, the DLC is like another 20 for the cost. That is what all the DLC cost during the last sales so it would have been reasonable price for both them and the buyers.īut as someoen already said just wait for a sale, though don't expect more than 20% or so this winter sale.

Had I known that it would make me elegible for free SE then yes I would have gotten it, as I tried now, seemingly too late. I didn't get Hearthfire becuase I'm not interested in house building and didn't see it as a valuable piece of DLC.

I guess you could probably just download free mods to have player-built houses? One thing I noticed, a lot of the people that are complaining (that have some dlc) are those like yourself who didn't get hearthfire, I wonder why? For the free upgrade you had to have all DLC (including hearthfire) and have it on or before the 28th to be elgible and if you waited till the last minute it may take up to 36 hours to get the upgrade.
